Greetings!
Today, we have the full moon, with the sun in the mutable air sign Gemini and the moon in the mutable fire sign Sagittarius. We are also very focused on the here, now, and future, as only Pluto is retrograde. With this forward-focused energy, though, comes challenges and growing pains over the next month. These challenges are focused on being open and honest vs discreet and diplomatic. Part of the challenges also involve how communication generally affects your spiritual growth and personal development. For the next month, your spiritual and personal growth may be challenged by how you communicate and whether or not you are appropriate with said communications.
This full moon is also all about travel. If you’re not careful, you may find your travels meet challenges, whether short jaunts or long journeys. This may be particularly true when traveling by or over water.
Existentially speaking, the essence of this full moon is that of focus vs being scattered and communicating in appropriate ways in various situations. Where is your focus? Yes, variety is the spice of life, but if all you do is engage in variety, you lose your bar for comparison and risk not having a baseline to use to see where variety is good and where it’s not. Yes, there is such a thing as having too much variety. After all, building a house on sand won’t last as long as building on a solid foundation.
Variety is good, but it is like anything else. It can be too much of a good thing; that is the lesson during this time. How do you dial it back when necessary? This is a broad statement, but I’m sure you can narrow down your appropriate life area to scale back while keeping variety in other areas. This in an of itself may be the major challenge during this time. Many people have issues scaling things back in their lives when it would be wise to do so because, generally, scaling things back means denying one’s self instant gratification, telling us that one won’t get their dopamine addiction. Addictions are a pain, aren’t they? Addictions are more than just due to drugs. Addictions can also be to results or comfortable behavioral patterns. Essentially, what I’m saying is that you can look at addictions from a physical, emotional, and psychological perspective and to deny that people can be addicted to behavior patterns as much as chemicals. Two major themes for the upcoming month are seeing where patterns and habits need to be broken and then changing behavior to grow.
By dealing with these themes, you may find you can expedite your healing journey by doing what you need for your growth, even if this means leaving your comfort zone, which takes courage. Too many people live in psychological comfort and don’t push their boundaries, stunting their growth but indulging in comfort and laziness.
Yes, all of this means it could be a challenging month, especially when you consider upcoming ingresses of various planets into new signs, so remember the underlying lesson is appropriateness and finding harmony between being scattered too thin vs. being focused. People with a lot of mutable activity in their charts (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) will get hit the hardest, but a lot of spiritual and personal growth can be accomplished through calculation and clear thinking.
That’s my goal, how about you?
Namaste,
