We are more than our sun signs, but knowing them can be a start. If it fits, great! But if it doesn’t, that’s okay, too. There’s probably something deeper happening in your chart. Either way, enjoy!
FOR ALL SIGNS: The first Mercury retrograde of the calendar year will be from February 26th at 22 degrees Pisces, and will last until March 19th at 8 degrees Pisces. If you have strong mutable sign activity (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces), get ready!
Aries (Spring Equinox-approx. April 21st): February 2026 may begin with extra energy in the air and a sense of optimism, particularly regarding your social circles, upcoming evolution, and society in general, so it would be wise to formulate your plans early. Part of this has to do with living out your honor code and being a righteous warrior. However, there may still be challenges in your home life and with people you have known a long time. However, as the month moves on, you may find sobriety finds you, and your mind may mature in light of current circumstances. Strong spiritual growth is possible, but so is backsliding into bad habits and escapism, so it would be wise to choose carefully. Later in the month may be a good time to spend with friends and be involved in society.
Taurus (Approx. April 21st to approx. May 21st): Get ready, because if things haven’t gotten interesting and challenging yet, they are about to, in big ways. Challenges may be present, having to do with healing, getting along with society, and doing what’s best for you, but in the context of the greater whole. Communication may be problematic, as is money, and even your romantic life may have its issues, but your family life may be rolling along smoothly. As the month progresses, many of the earlier challenges have dissipated or at least weakened, to be replaced by strong, positive emotions, a boost in creativity, and spiritual growth. Your temper may still be short, though, and accidents may occur while you’re out and about. Working with your emotions and gentler nature may provide the right touch for success in many areas of life. The Mercury retrograde at the end of the month may have its issues, but it can ultimately be worth it to work through what is brought up.
Gemini (Approx. May 21st to Summer Solstice): Like Aquarians and Librans, you may find this is a fantastic beginning to February 2026. There may be a sense of moving forward in the air, and good things may be coming to you through your social circles and humanitarian causes. The first two weeks of the month are also a good time to share ideas and network. Your creative side may be stronger than normal, and when it comes to getting the breaks, you may find you get them. However, as the month moves forward, the overall vibes may go from fantastic to just as challenging as most of the activity moves into Pisces. During the last two weeks of the month, you may find communication challenges, money through creative projects challenged, and issues in your romantic life. Spiritual and emotional issues may be triggered, particularly those regarding wounds you have chosen not to heal, making the upcoming Mercury retrograde particularly challenging.
Cancer (Summer Solstice to approx. July 21st): February 2026 may begin with an interesting situation before you, but things will be vastly different by the end of the month. The first part of February may be a time of expansion in your home life and immediate family, but you might spend more time and energy on that area than usual. Psychological wounds may still be present to heal, but that journey is winding down as another begins. As the month continues, things may stay interesting, but in different ways. Romance, creativity, and spirituality may all be rolling along smoothly at the moment, but there are new challenges emerging with the entry of Saturn and Neptune into Aries. These challenges will probably have to do with ethics, doing what is right, and either choosing to be compliant or proactive. The Mercury retrograde at the end of February may bring emotional and spiritual issues to the surface, but in the long run, you may find this is actually beneficial, even though it might be rough.
Leo (Approx. July 21st to approx. August 21st): An emotional high may greet you as February 2026 begins, even though there may be tension in the air when it comes to the conflict between the self and the other. Your daily life may be calming down as of late, a trend that will continue as Uranus gets closer to Gemini and out of Taurus, and you may find you are in a position to perform more internal healing. The first two weeks are a good time to envision the life you want, and to lay the groundwork to make it real. However, as the month progresses, you may find your dreams become more real, with the possibility of their manifestations increasing. Your temper may continue to be short when it comes to dealing with friends and society, and it would be wise to be alert for accidents while you’re out and about.
Virgo (Approx. August 21st to Autumnal Equinox): February 2026 begins with some easy-flowing vibes in your home life and immediate family, and unexpected daily occurrences may yield blessings rather than challenges. Tension may still be present in some emotional situations and spiritual quandaries, and if you pay attention to them early in the month, it may make your life easier as February rolls on. The later it gets in the month, the more challenging and tense things may get in general, but specifically regarding romance, money through creative projects, spirituality, and your inner feminine side. The Mercury retrograde at the end of the month may be particularly challenging, as it is opposing your Virgo placements. Emotionally charged situations and creative situations you have dropped the ball on, may be the major focal points for this retrograde.
Libra (Autumnal Equinox to approx. October 21st): The first half of February 2026 may be an interesting time. On the one hand, you may be full of inspiration and in a good spot to do some networking. You may also be more creative than normal, and good fortune may visit you, whether financial or romantic. However, your internal psychological wounds may still be rearing their heads, and there may be challenges in your home life and with your immediate family. But as February matures, many of the positive vibes and situations may have dissipated, to be replaced by a sense of upcoming challenges. These are due to Neptune and Saturn transiting through Aries, which will take quite some time. So, the manifestations you might be expecting will not happen soon; rather, they will unfold over the next several years. For the upcoming Mercury retrograde at the end of the month, you may find that what comes up can easily be dealt with, even though it may require adjustments.
Scorpio (Approx. October 21st to approx. November 21st): Well, Scorpios, good luck! The first two weeks of February may start off especially challenging, particularly when it comes to creativity, streaks of fortune, romance, money, social circles, social integration, and healing in general, and along with Leos and Taurus, you’re getting the brunt of the current intense challenges. The good news is that these will only last a couple of weeks, but they could be adventurous weeks. Watch that temper, too. As the month progresses, most of these tensions fade, to be replaced by potential waiting to be tapped into, particularly if it involves creativity, spirituality, and romance. Late in the month, the Mercury retrograde in Pisces may be challenging, but in the long run, it will have been worth it to deal with whatever comes up. In total, February may be a month of spiritual, emotional, or creative initiation. Through the whole month, it would be wise to watch your temper and do your best to avoid accidents when you’re out and about.
Sagittarius (Approx. November 21st to Winter Solstice): At the beginning of February 2026, you may feel better than you have in a long time, and in the context of other signs, you may find you are one of the more fortunate ones. Things may be rolling along nicely and smoothly when it comes to money, social circles, romance, healing, and feeling confident about the future. The inspiration you receive now can be put toward long-term growth and stability, and if these are spiritually themed projects, they may be more successful than anticipated. The first two weeks may also bring streaks of good fortune and getting the lucky breaks you have needed. As the month continues, the vibes in the air change from beneficial to highly challenging, so the end of February may be as completely juxtaposed from the beginning as you can get. Once the sun moves into Pisces and the other planets currently in Aquarius join it, challenges will permeate almost every part of life, which the Mercury retrograde will enhance. Watch for this to be more challenging than normal, and more challenging than other people have it.
Capricorn (Winter Solstice to approx. January 21st): The beginning of February 2026 is an interesting time for you, so pay attention to details. As the month begins, tension may be present in the family and with long-time friends, and with some creative problem-solving, you might be able to maximize the opportunities that come your way. Your psychological wounds and healing journey may continue to be agitated, but for the moment, things might be okay. Other than these, February 2026 may be a non-event as it begins. As the month continues, though, you may find the tapestry changes extensively. In general, the more February grows, the more it improves, particularly in romance, creativity, spirituality, and communication. The tensions may still be there in the home life and with the immediate family, but these will be ongoing for a little while longer until Jupiter enters Leo. New challenges are coming through, as Neptune and Saturn enter Aries, so these will take years to play out and will be diffused. These will most likely involve your crusade, lessons, karma, and related situations.
Aquarius (Approx. January 21st to approx. February 21st): Happy birthday, Aquarians, and wow, what an intense time! All of the Aquarius energy in the air may be too much of a good thing if you’re not careful, but indulge in all the things as much as you want. The stars are aligning, and golden rays of light are shining down. The first two weeks of February may be full of blessings, healing, inspiration, and good times all around. However, most of this dissipates by the end of the month and is not replaced by anything menacing. The last two weeks of February are a good time to spend with friends and in society, getting things done. The Mercury retrograde at the end of the month may require some adjustments, but by and large, it may not be as challenging for you as it is for other signs.
Pisces (Approx. February 21st to Spring Equinox): February 2026 may begin with more emotions and uncomfortability than any other sign, so it might either be a time of spiritual and emotional initiation and new beginnings, or all of this might be too much of a good thing, and you may feel overwhelmed and desire escapism. With the right minor adjustments, you might be able to tap into some of the blessings in the air, but if you don’t make the adjustments, you won’t miss anything, either. As February progresses, you may feel like you can start your birthday celebration early with all of the Pisces activity in the air, but the upcoming Mercury retrograde will put the celebration on hold. Of all the signs, you may be the one most impacted by the Mercury retrograde. The good news is that once Saturn and Neptune are in Aries, the stress and tension of the last several years will be behind you.
