We are more than our sun signs, but knowing them can be a start. If it fits, great! But if it doesn’t, that’s okay, too. There’s probably something deeper happening in your chart. Either way, enjoy!
Aries (Spring Equinox-approx. April 21st): Challenges may be the theme of the first week or so as January begins, with Mars and Venus joining the sun going through Capricorn. These challenges will predominantly focus on your career and your general life direction. Chiron stationing direct tells us you are entering into the final part of your ongoing healing over the last few years, but the first few days may be triggering if you’re not careful. As the month progresses, you may find that the later it gets, the better things tend to get in general. Around the time the sun enters Aquarius, you may notice a few speed bumps, but these will dissipate within a few days, paving the way for an easy-flowing end to the month and a nice start to February. The good news is that you may get support from loved ones who support you in your quirky endeavors.
Taurus (Approx. April 21st to approx. May 21st): A strong theme for the beginning of January 2026 is getting to work. The first two weeks of the month are a good time to lay the groundwork for the upcoming year. With some creative visualization, you may find that your future becomes clearer, and you see your next level of transformation. As the month progresses, though, this easy-flowing work focus is replaced by challenges related to romance, circles of friends, and socialization in general. Your strong emotions around the 20th will only last for a few days, but the ramifications may take a few weeks to play out. It would also be wise to watch for miscommunications in the workplace around that same time. While the month begins on a positive note, it may end with more challenges than usual, so it would be wise to stay alert as we get closer to February.
Gemini (Approx. May 21st to Summer Solstice): While strong emotions may be present as January 2026 begins, you may also find tension in communication. While this may seem detrimental, it is, in fact, the next and nearly final stage of your healing, as Chiron stationing direct gently encourages you forward. You may still be spiritually out of sorts as the month begins, but this has been going on for a while and is part of your journey. As the month matures, you may find things get strikingly better, emphasizing networking, society, and your circle of friends. Love may come your way through people you know, or you may enjoy a nice time out with friends. Money may also be present, especially through the people you know. The closer you get to February, the better things might be, especially when it comes to having fun with friends and getting things done.
Cancer (Summer Solstice to approx. July 21st): Every year when January begins, tension is in the air because Capricorn is your opposite sign, but this year may be tenser than normal, due to Venus and Mars moving through Capricorn. Couple this with the fact that Chiron is stationing direction Aries, and you see the conclusion that the first two weeks of January 2026 may be full of challenges, with tension in the air, and a lot of this will have to do with self-confidence and other psychological wounds that have been at your doorstep for a few years now. Money may be tight overall, and there may be communication issues during the first two weeks. However, as January moves forward, you may find most of this tension dissipates to be replaced with non-events, and while this may mean no good things come your way, it also means that the tension has mostly dissipated by the beginning of February, giving you a chance to catch your breath. In general, the whole month is a good time to focus on your spirituality and to bring your creative ideas into manifestation.
Leo (Approx. July 21st to approx. August 21st): Chiron stationing direct in Aries starts January 2026 off with an emphasis on the final stage of your internal healing. This may feel like the true ending of a cycle involving spirituality and projects fueled by your willpower. Personal communication may be a good tool for getting things done the second week of the month, which is also a good time to prepare for the latter part of January, which will be in stark contrast to the former. As the days get closer to the sun entering Aquarius, the energy in the air may get tenser than normal because there are more planets moving through it than normal. Romance may be tense, and you may find that tension is present in your social circles and groups of friends. The last two weeks of the month may be some of the most challenging weeks you’ve had in a while, so the cooler and more prepared you are for this period, the better off you’ll be.
Virgo (Approx. August 21st to Autumnal Equinox): January 2026 begins against the same backdrop that has been going on for a while, namely, spiritual and creative tension in the air. But in the foreground of your life, you may find the first two weeks are a good time to focus on work, your career, and laying the groundwork for the upcoming year. Miscommunication issues may dominate the first few days, but these will fade quickly. As the month continues, this period of planning comes to a close, to be replaced with a lateral side of nothingness. This doesn’t necessarily get better later in the month, but things don’t degenerate, either, giving you a fairly clean slate to begin February 2026. You may find your homelife is rolling smoothly throughout the month, even though the natural rhythm of your family unit is not what it normally is.
Libra (Autumnal Equinox to approx. October 21st): Challenges, stress, and tension are all themes that begin in January 2026, and while some of this has been going on for a few years, the first two weeks of the month may be more challenging than normal, particularly when it comes to your career and overall plans for life. Chiron stationing direct in Aries opposes your Libra nature, meaning that psychological wounds and healing related to your sense of self and self-worth may surface, but now the stage is set for the final leg of your healing journey. However, as January progresses, things go from challenging and tense to positive, supportive, and fun with friends. Around the 20th, you may find yourself in a spot for transformation when it comes to romance. You may also note that the transformation may bleed into your social life and social alignment. The closer you get to February, the better things get in general, especially when it comes to planning the changes you want to make for 2026.
Scorpio (Approx. October 21st to approx. November 21st): Of all of the signs, you are the one who is most poised for a good start to January 2026. You may find your career and overall life direction are the main focal points, but the second biggest focus is on emotions, spirituality, and creativity. Love, money, and all things beneficial may come to you easily enough the first two weeks of the month, so it would be wise to enter 2026 with a positive mindset focused on seizing opportunities. However, these good vibes will only be present for the first three weeks of the month, as once the sun enters Aquarius, so, too, do several other planets, and in the natural zodiac, Aquarius and Scorpio energy can be very discordant, taking a lot of work to harmonize, so the closer you get to February, the more challenging things may be in general. Specifically, challenges related to money, romance, communication, and your ability to get along with others and with society may all come to the surface to be addressed. The last week of January and the first week of February may be one of the most challenging periods you’ve had in quite some time, so the more you are prepared, the better off you’ll be.
Sagittarius (Approx. November 21st to Winter Solstice): Emotional tension and personal communication challenges may be dominant themes as January 2026 begins, so it would be wise to simply breathe before moving forward. Creativity, spirituality, and other emotional issues that have been going on for quite some time now are continuing as the new year begins, and if you’re not careful, you might get distracted when trying to get a handle on the month and year. Chiron stationing direct tells us you are now entering the final part of your inner healing, which has been playing out over the last few years. However, as January continues, you may find the last two weeks of the month are completely opposite the first two weeks. The more planets that move into Aquarius, the better things get, climaxing in early to mid-February. Love, money, friendship, and social interactions may all roll along well, and the more you go with the flow, the better things get, dulling the spiritual, emotional, and creative issues that are hanging out in the background of your life.
Capricorn (Winter Solstice to approx. January 21st): Happy birthday, Capricorns! This is your month to pamper yourself. This year is a little spicier than normal, as Mars and Venus are moving through your sign in addition to the annual visitors of the sun and Mercury. All of this suggests that aspects of the career and occupation may bring unexpected benefits. You may also find that the more you take the initiative, the more you can visualize completing during the year. Chiron stationing direct may open up inner wounds, but you are in a spot to put the finishing touches on your healing journey, the closer Chiron gets to Taurus (later this year). The home life and immediate family may still have their challenges, but by and large, if you take a multi-pronged approach to dealing with these issues, you can achieve success. The closer you get to February, the more you may find that the good vibes and opportunities dissipate. But like other signs, they are not replaced with challenges; rather, nothing. In this way, you don’t enter February with challenges present, but you don’t enter the month with unexpected blessings, either.
Aquarius (Approx. January 21st to approx. February 21st): Even though, traditionally, February is known as the month associated with Aquarius, you may feel the party start earlier in mid-January. For the first time in years, several planets are moving through Aquarius in the latter part of January and the first few weeks of February. Essentially, you may find this is an intense, profound time of transformation, with things tending towards the positive. To get to that point, though, you have to get through the first two weeks of January, which will mark the next leg of your inner healing journey. This healing will most likely roll along smoothly, and when things get difficult, your friends will be there for you. But this is a good time to make minor adjustments when planning your goals for the year. Take things slow at the beginning of the month, and enjoy the good vibes that come later.
Pisces (Approx. February 21st to Spring Equinox): The good news is that when it comes to your career and overall direction in life, things might be rolling along nicely and smoothly. And, your homelife and immediate family may be showing positive signs, too. But, this is where the good news stops, because otherwise, January 2026 begins with emotions that are out of sorts, miscommunication issues, and the overall heaviness of Saturn and Neptune still being in your sun sign. Romance may be rolling along status quo, and unexpected money might come to you through your workplace during the first two weeks. The easy-flowing career and workplace vibes fade once substantial planets move into Aquarius, but this is a lateral move, as you may not experience any challenges in place of the good vibes from earlier in the month. In general, to begin 2026, capitalize what you can and when you can during the first two weeks, because when those opportunities are gone, they’re gone.
